Ms. Aven and Ms. Goodearl

The spotlight this week falls on two teachers whose level of commitment reaches far beyond the classroom. The first is Ms. Kerrie Aven. Ms. Aven teaches mostly 9th grade English, but she also is in charge of the yearbook this year. Putting together a yearbook is very challenging. Imagine having to secure funding, go to every extra-curricular and sporting event, make sure 50+ people bring in pictures by a certain deadline, layout every page, and produce a book that many people think is the most important keepsake of their high school experience. This is not an easy task and Ms. Aven does a great job!

The second teacher is Ms. Goodearl. Ms. Goodearl does more that just teach band. She has marching band, band camp, pep band at basketball games, competitions, parades, and performances on our stage. In addition, she has the daunting task of reconstructing our choir and all that goes along with that. She has worked very hard and I have heard many comments about how great the band sounds! We are lucky to have them both.
